HEADS UP ON USING BOSCH REXROTH 840 VALVE

The 840 fittings accept 1/4" Polyethylene tubing; ports 2 & 4 both have nuts and are the working ports to the device, air normally flows out 2 until the coil is energized and then flow is out 4; port 2 or 4 can be plugged to make a 3-way valve either normally open or closed depending on the port selected to be plugged. Air is supplied to port 1 (20 psi minimum/115 maximum); all exhaust is out port 3 (no tubing nut supplied).  The yellow indicator is pointing to "0" or to activate the manual override turn to 1, note that the manual override directs flow out port 4; the manual override must be pointing to "0" in normal usage. There are no polarity issues for the coil connections using 12 VDC.

Supply air may be either lubricated on non-lubricated, may not be used for vaccum, power consumption 1.6W at 12 VDC (+ - 10%), CV=.20, weight 2.6 oz, material Polyacetal Engineering Plastic with polyurethane seals and diaphragm, poppet design with a response time of 16-18ms, also available in a manifold arrangement with or without plug in wireways.

Put the male spade on the coil directly under ONE of the two female sockets and push down tight.  The connector will take #18  to #22 AGW wire and is crimped in place with a standard crimping tool matching the red dot on the tool to the red connector.
